All financial transactions across TaskBari are safeguarded by our Milestone Escrow Vault. Service fees are never paid directly upfront to freelancers or consultants; funds are released only when the client reviews and approves the completed deliverable or attended advisory session.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (whether individually as a Client, Freelancer, Consultant, or representing a legal corporate entity) and EngineerBari™ Bangladesh Ltd., the operating parent entity of TaskBari ("the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), having its registered address at Ka-100/1, Kalachadpur, Gulshan-2, Dhaka-1212, Bangladesh.
By accessing, browsing, registering for an account, purchasing deliverable services, booking 1-on-1 consultancy sessions, or providing freelance services on TaskBari, you expressly agree to be bound by these terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund & Dispute Policy.
2. User Accounts & National Verification
To access core transactional features, users must register an authentic account. Users agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
2.1 Identity & Credential Verification
To maintain the integrity and safety of the marketplace, service providers and consultants are subject to multi-tiered verification:
- Government Identification: Verification of National Identification Card (NID) or Passport issued by the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
- Professional Accreditations: Where applicable, submission of Bar Council licenses (Lawyers), ICAB memberships (Chartered Accountants), BMDC registration (Medical Consultants), or vendor technical certifications (AWS, GCP, CKA).
- Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities conducted through your account.
3. Dual-Service Marketplace Structure
TaskBari operates under a dual-service architecture:
- Remote Deliverable Services: Fixed-price, scope-defined project packages (e.g., website development, branding, SEO, copywriting, and video editing). Work is monitored through agreed project milestones, review cycles, and digital deliverable submissions.
- Consultancy Services: Real-time, 30-minute or 60-minute video or audio advisory appointments scheduled via our integrated calendar booking system. Consultations are delivered live via encrypted HD video rooms.
4. Milestone Escrow & Payment Terms
All payments for services booked through TaskBari must be processed exclusively through our authorized payment gateways (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, or SSLCommerz direct bank transfers).
Upon booking confirmation, client payment is deposited into the TaskBari Escrow Vault. The service provider will not receive disbursement until the deliverable is completed and approved by the client, or until the scheduled consultancy session has successfully concluded.
4.1 Currency & Pricing
All local transactions are billed in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT). For international clients, equivalent foreign currency pricing may be displayed and settled via international credit cards.
4.2 Platform Fees
Clients enjoy 0% booking markup. TaskBari deducts a standard platform maintenance commission from provider earnings to cover payment gateway charges, dispute arbitration, and infrastructure upkeep.
5. Deliveries, Revisions & Approval Windows
For Remote Deliverable Services:
- Included Revisions: Every service package includes a minimum number of revision cycles as specified on the service listing.
- Review Window: Upon delivery of files by the specialist, the client has a 5-business-day inspection window to request revisions or approve the work.
- Automated Acceptance: If a client fails to respond, request revisions, or raise an objection within 5 business days after final deliverable submission, the system may automatically approve the milestone and disburse escrow funds.
6. Intellectual Property & Work Ownership
Upon 100% full release of escrow funds to the service provider, all intellectual property rights, source code, copyright, and commercial ownership of the customized deliverable are irrevocably transferred to the Client.
Service providers warrant that all deliverables submitted are original works and do not infringe on any third-party copyright, patent, trademark, or trade secret.
7. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
If a client and provider disagree regarding project completion or quality, either party may trigger our Dispute Resolution process.
Our dedicated arbitration panel in Dhaka will review the agreed project scope, communication logs, and submitted deliverables to issue a final, binding decision regarding milestone release or escrow refund. For complete details, see our Refund & Dispute Policy.
8. Prohibited Conduct & Platform Circumvention
Users agree not to:
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent TaskBari Escrow by soliciting direct offline payments (e.g., direct personal bKash/Nagad transfers without an escrow order). Doing so results in immediate account termination and forfeiture of dispute protection.
- Post fraudulent, defamatory, discriminatory, or unlawful content.
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or spyware.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
